Why Penns New Tech Boss Went All In On The Business Of Betting After Two Decades At Disney

Penn’s new tech boss went all-in on the business of betting after two decades at Disney

Penn Entertainment’s new chief technology officer (CTO) is a former Disney executive who spent two decades helping the entertainment giant build its digital business. Now, he’s bringing his expertise to the gaming industry, where he believes there’s a huge opportunity to use technology to improve the customer experience.

In an exclusive interview with Penn Bets, the CTO, Eric Hansen, said he was drawn to the gaming industry because of its potential for growth. “It’s a $260 billion industry globally, and it’s growing rapidly,” he said. “But it’s also an industry that’s been slow to adopt new technologies.”

Hansen believes that Penn Entertainment is well-positioned to take advantage of this opportunity. He said the company has a strong brand, a loyal customer base, and a commitment to innovation.

One of Hansen’s top priorities is to improve the customer experience at Penn’s casinos and online sportsbooks. He said he wants to make it easier for customers to find the games they want to play, place bets, and withdraw their winnings. He also wants to improve the customer service experience.

Hansen said he’s also working on developing new products and services that will appeal to Penn’s customers. He said he’s particularly interested in exploring the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) in the gaming industry.

Penn Entertainment is one of the largest gaming companies in the United States. The company operates 41 casinos and racetracks in 19 states, and it has a leading online sportsbook, Penn Bets. Hansen said he’s excited to be a part of Penn Entertainment’s team, and he believes that the company has the potential to be a leader in the gaming industry.
