Early Life and Career
Danilo Carlo Petrucci was born on October 24, 1990, in Terni, Italy. From a young age, he showed a passion for motorcycle racing and began competing in national championships. In 2012, Petrucci made his debut in the Moto2 World Championship, where he quickly established himself as a top contender.
MotoGP Success
In 2015, Petrucci was promoted to the premier class of motorcycle racing, MotoGP. He joined the Pramac Racing team and impressed with his speed and consistency. In 2019, he secured his first MotoGP victory at the Italian Grand Prix, becoming the first Italian rider to win at his home race since 1999.
KTM Tech3 Switch
